Ashbourne House has eight charming bedrooms for you to enjoy a comfortable stay in the historic city of York. An original Victorian property with original features kept where possible such as the impressive geometric tiles in the entrance hallway. Our rooms vary in size and type and you are guaranteed a warm welcome and a comfortable stay.
All our rooms have bathrooms with showers and two with a bath. Only one is not en-suite which has a separate private bathroom right next door for sole use, with gowns provided. Please see each room description for bathroom details.
Each room has a large Smart television, a welcome tray including tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and free toiletries.
Luxury Super King / Twin / Triple with en-suite
Recently refurbished to a high standard with elegantly designed soft furnishing and furniture. Spacious En-Suite room on the first floor, situated at the front of the house, benefitting from a large double glazed bay window. This room has a beautiful en-suite bathroom with a bath with rainfall and hand held shower over. A bidet is an unusual addition too! Also a heated towel rail. Furnished with a Super King bed, which can be split into twin beds if needed. There is a single Murphy bed that comes down out of the cupboard to make it a triple too. King Size with en-suite
Comfortable En-Suite room with King Size bed situated on the first floor. There are three king rooms available. One has a bath with a shower over and the other two are with a shower. Equipped with a Large Smart TV, a generous welcome tray (including tea and coffee making facilities), complimentary toiletries, Fluffy white Bath Sheets and towels, a Hairdryer, dressing table with a light up mirror and a small sofa. Most of the rooms have USB ports in the plug sockets. All have been recently decorated.

We have just one double room with SEPARATE SHOWER ROOM RIGHT NEXT DOOR FOR SOLE USE, GOWNS PROVIDED. Which is situated on the second floor. Both bedroom and shower room have been refurbished to a high standard with modern amenities such as light up mirror and towel rail in the bathroom and USB Ports in the bedroom. Double bed. Room equipped with a Smart TV, a generous welcome tray (including tea and coffee making facilities), complimentary toiletries, Fluffy white Bath Sheets and towels, Robes and a Hairdryer.
This room also has a cocktail sofa, a dressing table with a light up mirror and also a large full length mirror too.

The centre of York is a pleasant 20 to 25 minute riverside stroll away, and for those who wish to conserve their energy for sightseeing, there is a frequent bus service into the city centre. Limited off street car parking is available on a first come first served basis and there is also Free unrestricted parking on adjacent side streets.
